d3 Dubai Design District is the new core of “design community to provide a creative ecosystem that surpasses the expectations of a typical creative neighborhood. d3 forges the inspiring, authentic, and relevant ideas shaping Dubai’s future as a leading destination of design, art, and culture. d3 is home to the region’s growing community of creative thinkers. It is being built as part of the Dubai Plan 2021 using the Smart City principles which offer digital connectivity to create an innovation-led economy”.

The pavilion we designed for Smeg is conceived as part of Easa Saleh Al Gurg showroom & office d3, one of most innovative spaces of the district devoted to design excellence. The highly strategic position of the showroom, located between the CBD and the Expo 2020 area, and the spectacular view towards the central part of Dubai and the tallest skyscraper in the world, the Burj Khalifa, inspired the design of this space dedicated to exhibition of the best Smeg design products. The pavilion is conceived as a structure that frames the skyline of Dubai and the Burj Khalifa, offering the best scenario to exhibit innovative design products while paying attention to the aspects dear to Smeg and related to Made in Italy: quality of details and technology with style.
